Beach hunting

If we can work in between hurricanes we are going to Florida and the Keys for two weeks starting in October. We will be pulling our 5th wheel camper.
Beaches can be fun but there are miles and miles of them. Can anyone tell me where I may find some good spots. Will probably only be able to spend a day or two at any one spot. I have never detected in FL or in salt water before.
I am looking forward to being there after so many storms but just do not know where to go.
My wife likes to travel and see things. I like to spend some time in the sand and surf.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Lee,
Check the Beach Forum on findmall for hunting tips, etc.
I doubt if any of the seasoned beach hunters use the MXT but it is a great Forum to read.
You may find the stock coil a little noisy near the water. The larger DD coil would probably serve you better.

Larger? How much larger? Do you mean the 5x9 or whatever?
