Beach hunting with the Discovery Coin Trax II

Here is a slightly modified post I left on the Treasure Baron Forum. It may be of some interest to those that may be interested in the operation on the unit on the beach.

I managed to get to the beach this morning with the Baron Coin Trax II. The weather has been so bad in recent weeks, and it just did not cooperate with my detecting schedule.

The beach was more crowed yesterday, than I remember seeing it in a couple of summers, holidays included. I decided not to even try a 5PM, still too many people. I went and had dinner and came back around 6:30PM and hunted till around 9:30 on the dry sand, tide was dead high. No jewlery, but about $7.00 in coins. I did better last week when there was only about 25% of yesterdays crowd, but that's beach hunting.
 
Were your results from wet sand or dry? Any special set up for wet sand hunting? (Good to see you get out and hunt a little, Mr. Bill)
