SInce the control box of the elite can't get wet.
How do you manage to dig-- since you need both hands and the waves keep coming.

after drilling the headphone plug hole and coil clam hole in my new clear lexan box, ..............i did not like it, so saturday i bought this new mouse trap..........46 bucks, but boy what a nice box

i have gotten away from the chest mounted deal and gone to small wal-mart back pack.............right now i just stick the GT inside the pack alone...............works great

Max, I like your idea of a waterproof box for the GT. I've come darn close to dunking my GT control unit a couple of times while beach hunting, (and heavy rain, is panic time too). You talk of making connections thru the box so I assume your hunting with it in the box. But how do you do that? Do you turn it on and set your controls and seal it back up, or what? Will you backpack the box or belt mount it? I'd like to see pictures of your completed project. The GT needs good protection on the beach. HH don

people like to switch between pinpoint and descrimination - not me, waste too much valuable time

some say find more chains..............i have never had that problem, maybe on the real real thin ones............but who cares about those, we like the big fat ones

here is a pic of my ex waterproof expII, same deal, just different box

box goes into a belt like box i am having sewed now and that will ride on my back...............long ago before i got my alum. scoop i had S/S 7" monster scoop (still have it) and it always pulled my belt down, so i added some shoulder straps to it. i just plan on mounting it to those straps...........just like the small backpak i use for the GT now.

Way to go Max..Is that the Pelican?Looks like the same box I use.Orange and all.....matches the coil.Yer gonna like it.
