Beach Hunting in N.H on Friday 12/21/07

Well I am sure by the picture those of you who detect in this area know the beach by the seawall.....
Anyway I over dressed and was sweating , which is better than freezing. This was my first time on the beach with my Sovereign GT, and it worked perfect. I ran it hip mounted on auto sens, 0 disc, silent search, and there was no falsing. I think the GT is much, much, more sensitive than my old Sovereign XS2a pro. there where many many many pulltabs, and i swear some of you are planting zincs:clapping:
look at the small oval shaped religious pendant which is right of the dime. That sucker was small and deep and it kept falling Through my scoop. The ring which i think is silver just real dirty, was very deep. Very sensitive is the GT I can tell you. Well I hope a Northeaster hits the area soon.

Thanks for looking

Nice to see you are getting out with the GT and seeing what some of us have been saying since the GT came out. Many were saying the GT was no better than the older Sovereigns if you run disc, but I seen the first time out with it that it is different in the fact it does see smaller items plus I get more falsing on iron which sounds like some of the very deep coins. I found out it is easy to tell which are iron and which are not, but some you just have to dig. Another thing I seen was the numbers on the meter where more accurate on the deeper and weaker signals than the older Sovereigns.
Now I think with the new Excalibur II we are going to see that they will be a improvement over the older Excalibur's as Minelab is using the same circuity in the Excalibur II as the GT and those that know there Excalibur's will see the difference.

Good luck and I hope to see more great finds with your GT.

Rick
