Beach hunting for 30 days with the 3030

Saturday will be thirty days with the 3030 I will not be getting out again till Sunday so I can post it now.
Since the 3030 came home all but 1hr has been beach hunting. 90% of the beach hunting has been wet sand to knee deep, the other in the dry sand. 79 total hours of operation
I am always one to say the detectors pay for themselves in a short time. I feel the same way with the CTX 3030 for those who like the numbers here goes it:
143 quarters 35.75
67 dimes 6.70
48 nickels 2.40
412 pennies 4.12
$48.97
I had 2 silver dimes and 1 silver quarter, Chunky .925 20in chain, 10k earring ,14k earring, 585 wedding band, 2 nice sterling rings (wife) There were 6 other rings but they have no value.
Using what I could get for scrap on the silver coins 6.00
Using what I could get for scrap on .925 chain 22.00
Using what I could get for scrap on the gold 290.00
Total take was $366.97 or $4.64 an hour of hunting, Yikes!
I am getting the hang of it now so along with the water warming I am sure July will be better.

BCNJ thanks for the report. It's good to see an honest assessment of what to expect. Now - Let's get those numbers up!

Based on your numbers, you should be able to "pay off" your 3030 in about 3 months if you keep up the same pace. $4.64 x 480 hrs (160 hrs per month x 3) = $2227.20... 3 1/2 months if you got the standard pack. Not bad, not bad at all.

Wow what a hobby.....not many things we love to do pay for themselves.
I have my CtX about the same amount of time and have picked up over 20 pieces of silver, my prize piece so far is a Barber Half 1907 ...didn't have that all of last year with my ATpro.
LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!!!

Zooks I planted them all. Sorry pal.
