I am relatively new to hunting in general and have never been water or beach detecting. We have a week planned on Dauphin Island during the second week of September and I am guessing that unless the area takes a direct hit by the approaching hurricane, the trip should still be on. I am curious as to what effect the hurricane will have on the detecting experience. I have an SE and will not be hunting in the water, just in sand. Thanks for any pointers or observations.
