You guys that are hunting the Saltwater beaches , could you please tell me what Ground Balance numbers you are getting in

1) The dry sand

2) The wet sand

3) Actually IN the water !!

Thanks for your time and numbers ......Jim

and in the 60's in the dry. It rained pretty hard the nite B4 and the dry sand was "packed". Barely wet the coil in the surf and didn't even rebalance. This was in South Jersey, hope it helps.

Jim - I just took mine to the beach for the first time. I auto ground balanced in the wet sand and pumped the coil a few times until it was quiet. Had no problem running at waters edge with the sens at 3 bars. I too was really curious as to what the ground balance numbers were gonna be but forgot to even look - DUH

Along the New Hampshire coast this is what I have found

Dry Sand - ~55
Wet Sand - ~17 (note the auto ground balance won't work in the wet sand and you have to manually GB to get the machine quiet)

Too cold to get in the water without a wet suit and I don't own one.

Yorktown, VA:

Dry = 83-85

Wet = 13-15

In the water = 10-13

Thanks guys !!......

This is really interesting .....The wet sand numbers all seem to be pretty consistant ......The reason I asked was because there were guys posting on some threads and their "DRY SAND " numbers were pretty far off from mine .....My numbers are like Shayne's numbers ....I am up in the 80's in the dry !!..... It really surprises me to see such a range of numbers from Low to High in the Dry Zone , but very consitant numbers in the Wet !!........Thanks again ......Anymore numbers ? ......Jim
