Beach hunter ID

Hello,Any users of the BHID that can help me.If I decide to get this machine I will strictly use it in fresh water; but how is it on falsing and hot rocks? Can you tell me if the mid tone and high tone are far enough apart so as to clearly tell the difference between the 2.And lastly how does the machine catagorize the different targets by sound? By this I mean how does it treat brass and lead? Do they give off a high tone or low tone.In my area I dig alot of shot gun shells; the brass ends with the primer. On my CZ-21 it for the most part treats brass as a mid tone.It saves alot of time when your after only copper and can key off of only high tone. Thanks for your time, Steve

I TRIED THE BHID ONE HUNT. I DID NOT LIKE IT. I HAVE OWNED A CZ20. TO ME THE CZ IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO . GOOD LUCK.

I do not see how you could possibly say any detector is this or that in one hunt??? just a thought:shrug: Here's some of the loot the Beach Hunter ID got me! Any one and done ( or 2 or 3 and done) hunt with a detector is not really giving it a fair shake. But, there are people that, with a lot of things, know in an instant if they don't like it. But that does not mean the particular item they used is bad. It's not just for them.

I know you got a BHID with a Super 12 hooked in and it's killer. Plus, there are some posts that show how to get the BHID really set up to run deep.

One last thing...if I am correct, the BHID can ID in all metal. It may have only one tone in all metal, but the lights still indicate the potential target ( correct ? ). That's a great feature in my book. Can't do that with a CZ.

To me, Whites should make a BHID 300. If I end up getting one, I know I will put the Super 12 on it. That coil is great.

I WAS NOT KNOCKING THE BHID AS A MACHINE. I ONLY TRIED IT ONCE AND DIDN'T CARE FOR IT.JUST SAYING I LIKED THE CZ BETTER.SORRY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE,DID NOT MEAN TO.

The BHID is an EXTREMELY underated machine....i recieved a newer coil version in a trade,as i was looking for a machine that i could hunt with mainly in the rain(had to be more than 'splash proof')...being quite partial to my dfx and m6,the bhid quickly became an old friend..reports of shallow depth from people who may have only used the machine quickly once or ttwice and then posted a crap review on a site like metaldetectorreviews mask this machines true abilities..learn to ground balance the thing properly and remember to do it when you move from the dry to wetsand, and this thing can equal anything for depth..and yes,the ability to id in all metal is fantastic...i love my cz 70,which i use on the beach as well,so i wouldnt knock the cz,s,but the poster wanted to know about the beachhunter, not if anyone thinks another machine is better..one thing the bhid does have over the cz is weight and balance..i can hunt for hours with the bhid and not feel like my arms gonna drop off,or worse, knock me out of a days hunting...you asked if it is good for freshwater? DEFINITELY in fact, even tho its great on the beach,i feel if they aimed it specifically at freshwater hunters,it would have found its niche...oh,and the dual id system(lights and tones(good tones at that) is another plus...and reading reports from others about its performance with the proven super 12 coil just adds 2 it :)..dam fine machine to sum it up:) ..also at its price point, excellent value for money! you can get a bhid and a mid range dirtfisher for less than say,a cz 21.....

I have a beach hunter ID and love it I have used on land as well as the water have found 1900 Barber Dime as well as many other neat finds .my only problem is that I dont have time to go to the beach any longer so we mainly hunt land after work. Happy Hunting hope this helps
