Can and are there other coils that can be used on Beach hunter ID with doing cable modifications...dont have one to visibly see how cable attaches but thought about changing out stock coil if possible....believe they run same frequency as my MXT?
 
They are actually a 2 frequency machine like the DFX. They used to come with a 950 coil but the standard coil for them now is the 300mm or 12". The coils are hard wired to keep the unit waterproof. Best thing to do is decide which of the 2 coils best match your needs and buy that detector. Used to be that folks would send the unit with the 950 coil to White's and have them change it over to the 300 coil. Probably why White's went to the larger coil as standard now. Never heard of anyone putting any other coil on a BHID.
