Beach Hunter ID QUESTION

Well I'm finally at the beach and trying out the BH ID. I'm not having any luch. EVERYTHING ID's in the ring ID. There is this old thin rusty looking metal all over the beach and it comes in under the ring ID.

Ok for my question....when the threshold nulls out or just goes silent for a second but there is no beep, what does that mean???

I have n o idea if I have it ground balanced right or not.

try setting the gound at just below half,sensativity at 'p' setting. flip it in to all metal and dig only solid green lights and solid yellows.if you get even a slight red light with a yellow or green forget it its got iron in it !mixed lights green/yellow are mostly zinc's or junk.gold will stay solid yellow light always!!! try this it will help tiil you get use to it!

I've had the sen set at the P most of the time. I did bump it up a couple of times to where I could without falsings. Well the only light I have seen is the Yellow (middle - ring) light. No matter what I find it blinks yellow in the middle one. But I have not been running in all medal. It all sounds the same to me in all metal. It's even hard for me to tell if it's a signal tone. It just sounds like a lot of noise all the time to me. But I'll try what you've said next time I go out.

where did you get the detector from?? air test it on a quarter you should get only green light!! then air test gold ring you should only get a yellow light!!if you don't take it to a whites dealer to have it checked, cause some thing sounds out of wack..

Well I got out again today and did get some red and green signals. i didn't dig the red ones but the green ones were coins so I guess it is working right. i got some more of those threshole nulls and dug them and each time I found something very small/ thin like a thin piece of wire rod. I guess I just have to learn how to use the machine. tks
