Beach Hunter... 10" coil vs 12" coil...anyone use both?

Im looking to pick up a used model, wondering if the 12 coil is as sensitive to thin gold rings as the 10" would be?
Depth is not a big issue for me, as all the water holes have stone bottoms in my area.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

I am hoping it is or better. I have a BHID ID with 9.5" coil and a used BHID 300 on the way, will find out for myself, was thinking with the 3" coil in the center on the 300 it should still pick up the smaller gold. Hope we get some good answers from the Pro's.

You will have no problem with small 10K or 14K small thin rings as i just did some air testing on a buch of small stuff, even detected my heavy 14K chain. Also tested with my Excal 800 which did do better air testing.
