Beach hunt yields gold, Jesus and my oldest coin :)

Had today off as a vacation day so I hit the beach first thing this morning just before dead low. Beautiful morning and there wasn't a soul around with a MD. (highly unusual).

Found something every Baptist needs... a set of Rosary beads :) Thought for sure they were silver, but I don't see any marks.

Then I found my oldest coin ever... an 1894 Haitian 2 cent piece. Someone obviously wore this around their neck at the beach.

The this nice little ring. No marks but it looks good under the loop. I'll get it checked out

pendants are silver! Congrats on all the goodies! Go figure your oldest coin at the beach! :) Let us know on the ring! You did great Joe!

The ring sure is purty and the old coin is pretty neat! You've had a great year so far.

I remember last year I had a solid penny hit right along the waterline at Myrtle Beach. I dug down about 8 inches and nothing. I ran my coil back over the hole and it started reading in the silver dime range so I commenced to diggin some more. Down about a foot and still no coin but another sweep of the coil and I got a solid silver reading in the quarter range. Now I was excited because if it was that deep it had to be something good. A couple more scoops and I finally got it. A thin, round, flat disc about the size of a half dollar with absolutely no markings on it. I still have it. I worked to hard to dig it up to throw it away!!

I hope you score some more gold and silver jewelry before the season is over!!

That ring sure looks like gold. Some times they dont stamp things. The silver ring I dug today was not stamped anything but tested as definitely silver. Good luck, Steve in so az
