Beach Hunt with the Gold Bug Pro

I got the chance to go out to the beach today and I found a nice jewelry item with a stone in it. I looks like it could be gold, but I can not find any markings on it.

It rang in loud and clear with a VDI of 63 in the wet sand / stones / rocks.

The Gold Bug Pro with the stock F5 10" coil ran silent in the wet sand with the gain up in the high 80's in DISC mode, I had the DISC set at 40 so I could hear the iron with a low tone.

This was the only item worth posting, all the other finds were junk / scrap metal.

'Greek series' search coils.

The 5" DD is my favorite because it's great in densely trashed sites where I feel this model can excel. the 11" DD is okay, but I think it balances better on the T2 due to the counter-balance of the battery and speaker system at the rear. With my bad back and shoulder I can't work as like as I would like to, even though it is a lighter 11" coil than most out there. I haven't used the 8" and elliptical 10" concentric coils all that much, but when I did I was favorably impressed ..... and I had not problems! I think of the two the elliptical concentric was my favorite.
