beach hunt question

Heading out to Orange Beach / Gulfshores, AL Saturday for a week long vacation...Have a house right on the beach of the gulf...What is the best setting for my ID Edge in the sand/saltwater conditions? This the first time I have had a chance to hunt on some beaches...any other suggestions or good approaches would be appreciated.
