Hi all,
Back again from another days hunt at a popular beach here in Sydney.
About $40 in modern coins and the odd foreign coin in the mix. A couple of silver items - 925 silver ring, 925 Heart Charm (Front and Obverse) - looks to be boyfriends name on one side and Girlfriends name on the reverse side. Also found a Gold plated ring with coloured stone a little after dark.
The day was just perfect, with a little sea breeze to keep things at a comfortable level. Just before i started, i noticed one other guy detecting on the beach at quite a fast pace with no real direction... i like to slow things down a bit and do a systematic approach to the task ahead, this approach does have its pit falls though.. umm.. like only covering half the beach in the allocated time frame. But you do get results. I did get a little following for a little while by a couple of young children, didn't bother me at all.. i just talked them though the process of finding items, and they were quite happy to enjoy the rest of the day with a couple of coins we found along the way to keep and to buy an ice cream or lolly.
