Beach hunt experience

I was not in the water just in the sand-freshwater. I noticed this thing runs a lot hotter and is deeper than I could dig at times. I did not bring my beach scoop just my lesche digging tool. My advice don't do that!!! I was able to run my coil over targets at least three times where I could not dig deep enough to recover them. The CTX detected deeper as I progressed towards the water line - I did not have this problem in dry sand. I would love to see what this machine will do after rain on dry land.

One other observation-lightning even at distance affects this machine, I have hunted with the Etrac and had lightning at distance and it never affected it-weird I know...Still learning.

I saw the same thing. I detected a freshwater beach - but in the water- on Friday. It goes deep. I have a large scoop and 3 times I walked away from a good sounding target after digging for 20 mins. I figure it is something huge 3' down. This machine goes real deep.

I used mine in coin mode with ferrous/coin, deep off, trashy on, target trace, pin point sizing

What is trashy on?
