Beach Finds including Gold and Ice

unearth

Member
Got to the beach this morning to find I was late to the game. I was the 7th detectorists there!! I didn't think there was going to be anything left after the first 6 guys this morning and the 4 or 5 guys last night pounded the wet and dry sand. But since I was already at the beach, I decided to go for it. And, I'm glad I did. I decided to change my plans and get away from the madding crowd. I ended with $12 in clad, three rings - two junk one 14K with ice, two junk pendants, a pin, part of a silver charm and a junk cloth/metal bracelet.

Good move on getting away from the crowd. Nice finds and can't beat a piece of gold. HH jim tn

Nice hunt there unearth. As a contrarian by nature, I like to hunt where the competition does not. Good for you - it paid off! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

Great treasure!

I’m new to this hobby, but I’ve learned in life that just because someone walked before me, I don’t need to walk in their steps. Taking the path less traveled often gives you pleasant surprises...as you well know. Nice finds!

Funny story...I went to a school where there had been heavy signs of digging, and found coins BETWEEN the plugs! Maybe their machine didn’t detect as deep as mine, or maybe they had a lot filtered out. Regardless, I succeeded in spite of the competition. I scan in all metal mode with the sensitivity on 10 and the volume on low. Works for me, but maybe not everyone else. As they say, YMMV
