beach detecting

Was wondering if someone could let me know what the laws are for beach hunting in South Florida.
I recently got my father-n-law into the hobby, and during the winter he wants to hunt the beaches but is not sure if it.allowed, and what the rules are.
He is swinging the AT Pro, and I led him to this forum for answers.
He posted on the Garrett forum, but has not had any responses yet, so if anyone can help him out on this, It would be appreciated.
Certainly wish I was in Florida, I am already sick of this snow, and its only the 1st wk of January.
Thanks for your help!

I can't help you, but you might try posting the question on the Beach and Water/Scuba Dive Detecting Forum, also.....HH

I know this may sound too simple, but in the past I have googled my questions and corcerns. There are some very good informative answers out there. My questions were about Cape Cod beaches. I got many different answers. Best of luck and happy hunting. Ron:detecting:

WHy don't you contact the city hall or the police department seeing how they are the ones to enfoce the law.

Find a local metal detecting club! Best source of experienced local users for practical information. Joining can be the best investment one makes in this hobby.
