Beach detecting finally!

Hello all, after several months, I was finally able to get to the beach for some serious detecting. It rained a lot, but between the showers, for 2 days detecting I found $24.04, two sixpences dating 1942 and 1950 and a silver earring. Also had a snorkle, even though the water was freezing, and we met up with another detecting friend from the Aussie Treasure Hunters forum, Freddy, of which both he and I are moderators. Anyway, great time away, and hoping to do it again soon. It was a nice change from the gold fields! Posting a photo of the finds, and our friend Freddy on Garry's hookah unit, underwater detecting!
Cheers Angela:twodetecting::)

Hi Angela,
It seems you had a great time out there today, we Ozzies are very lucky that we can be out there all year round and don't have to bother with frost and so on.

It's good to see us Ozzie girls out there too.Where are you from in Australia. I am from Perth and new to this forum and detecting.

Regards Maureen.

Hi Maureen, nice to meet another fellow Aussie girl on the forum. I was beginning to think I was the only one! I'm from Victoria, live on the goldfields in Gippsland, but I'll be moving soon into town, about 50km away from here! My town consists of 11 in population, me included! So I'll be moving to be big smoke soon! I've got a great site lined up to detect in though, which had the old Cob and Co. coach run in the 1800's. It's on farmland, and there's acre to detect in. You can still see the old dirt roads and house site lining the roads. I went there one day, detected around an old pine tree, and picked up 5 pennies.
Nice to hear from you!
HH Angela:)

Nice you replied Angela, it certainly feels good to chat to one of ones own kind, but the boys are really good in here. I just love reading all they have to say and looking at their finds.Myself i am not a serious searcher i go out to enjoy the air and also i like the suspense of what comes out of the ground even my husband is beginning to warm to it.
Maybe we can talk about detecting sometime i will keep you informed about my finds even though they are really meagre up to now, but i don't worry.

Have fun and i will catch up hopefully sometime in this Forum beach and water section so that i find your messages and you mine.

Regards Maureen also to the boys we won't forget them "Hi boys"..
