Beach Beauties

You are loaded for bear. Have a safe trip and hope you find lots of gold. Let us know how the ATX does in that environment.

Steve, please let us know how the detectors perform. I would like to read a comparison between the CTX and ATX.

Steve, I have been emailing Terry in Hawaii. He said the CTX has some issues that need addressing with the software to make it work right in salt. He said manual is too squirrely in water over 6" and auto dials itself down so low it won't get any depth. He is very frustrated with that and the poor design of the battery/ seal, etc.

I know you have used the Infinium over there so it will be interesting to see how you do with the ATX. I suspect you will do well with depth, stability, and durability?

I intend to use the ATX for most of my detecting. The CTX is more for backup but will get used on the beach out of water with 6" coil and 17" coil. I do not really see the CTX as a serious surf detector. A bit too dainty for getting in the rough and tumble. The ATX however is built like a battleship so no worries there. At least I do not think so. I sure am going to find out because I am going to try hard to be in the water every day for two weeks straight.

I agree with Fongu, Good Luck, Besafe, we await your report.........:garrett:.......and enjoy:thumbup:
