BEACH AND WATER TOOLS

vernt

New member
I'm somewhat new to the art and science of beach and water detecting, and I'm trying to adequately get by with the amount of digging equipment I need, and hence keep the cost and things I have to carry down. Speaking just on wet sand and shallow surf(knee-thigh high), would a water scoop work alright(how big a scoop?)for wet sand, or would it be too clumsy and laborious? Would some sort of shovel be better? I'm really unsettled on what equipment to get. The sale prices have been equally concerning. Thanks for your help.

If you are going to hunt wet sand, you don't go cheap... Buying a cheap scoop will not do the job, you will end up breaking it..And a shovel is not the answer either.

You can get away with cheap shovels dirt digging but not water hunting.
