Beach and Park Day

Woke up a bit early today and headed to a small beach here in Miami. No Jewerly but dug up lots of Pulltabs lol. Total number of coins was 16. 3 quarters, 2 nickels, 5 dimes, 6 pennies and 1 Wheatie (odd for a Miami beach). Called it quits then headed to an old park which I really like how my MXT performed even with the Super 12 coil and lots of trash. Was there for about an hour and came up with 1 quarter, 3 dimes, 2 pennies, and 1 1944 Wheatie. Can't wait to go back with more time and a pinpointer (lost some targets). Really liked the park lots of good sounding targets. 23 total coins for $2.00

[size=medium]it's a struggle to find a dollar around here any more. once you get the right coil your totals will jump including jewelry. it's great just to get out and hunt though. looking forward to your comments and future reports of finds.

Your doing really good for having that 12" coil on there. It can make a person want to give up early from the extra noise and less ID ability, not to mention the extra weight. Don't get frustrated before you try out the 950 or 5.3 coils. The 5.3 works awesome in HEAVY trash but in general use it feels like its not covering enough ground per pass for me. Thats one reason I wanted the D2(10" DD) because the signal is really narrow and goes the length of the coil front to back so it covers a lot of ground per pass but at the same time "SEE's" less ground than a concentric coil. The less ground a coil sees the more stable and quiet the machine will be and the less you will have to ground balance out.

Thanks guys. It wa my first time in the fuels besides tot lots. But either way I was very happy how it performed and discriminated. And suprised me how it did in the park. I don't think anyone has hit that park. People usually go straight for the beaches here. But once I make a couple of nice finds I will be if I can buy a different coil. I was looking into the 8x6 SEF butterfly coil.
