I was looking through some change the other day and noticed an odd looking dime.
Picked it out of the change and low and behold a 1942 mercury dime in very good condition.
I don't know how long I had it before I discovered it, and was surprised to find this coin.
I thought they had all been taken out of circulation years ago by collectors.
Make sure you guys check your change... might be yet still a few goodies out there.

I have not seen silver in change in Canada in 20 years but I did see on TV that somebody in the US dropped two gold 20 dollar coins in the Salvation Army Kettle somewhere this weekend.

Worth north of $1000 each.

Nice donation. I hope they knew it!

as financial times get tougher , you are likely to see more old coins come back into circulation as some folks raid their collections to make ends meet.
