BDA is back from the Mayan Riviera

Well it was a wonderful 12 days in paradise and a much needed rest but this pirate wasn't able to salvage any loot from the waters of the Mayan Riviera. My total take for 4 hours of hunting was a measly $1.05 in Mexican pesos and a pair of cheap sunglasses (lots of pull tabs though:(). The Princess and her Pirate (that would be me) had a great time even if I didn't find any loot, honestly we were just too busy to spend much time hunting.
My hunt time was limited by the surf, teaching my buddy how to hunt and all of the activities that we crammed into 10 days in Mexico.
Here's the tour:

I saw this beach restaurant the first day in Playa del Carmen and felt I had come Home

While I was waterhunting this drysanding pirate slipped by me but the Princess snapped a photo of him (not much gets past my Princess)

Snorkelling at Gran Cenote was TERRIFIC!

While snorkelling at the cenote these cave divers showed up from an underground river connected to another cenote a mile away SO ENVIOUS!

Unfortunately, I was dogged by a bad cold for most of my trip and couldn't take my PADI certification in Mexico so I will have to take it in Bermuda. Fortunately, the weather was blowing a gale to hurricane force winds in Bermuda while I was away in Mexico so I am hopeful of finding some good loot this weekend.

Cheers,

I really enjoyed the pics of your cruise too David. We have never gone on a cruise but it is something we are considering. I think it would have to have lots of island stops or I would get bored. Your cruise seemed to have lots of island stopovers, how did you like it?

How the looting was going for you. Just knew you would bring home the gold. Did you talk to the drysander? He looks like the kind of looter who upswings like the Budweiser guy! Sorry you felt bad and maybe Bermuda has a few welcome home surprises for ya, get to work on the looting there! You were in paradise, went to paradise and are back in paradise. What's up with that?????!!!!

Cruises are fun and we had a great time but when you only get to go to shore for a few hours when you get to port and we did not like that. We like to be able to go some where and explore and take our time.If we like the place we might end up staying a few days and looking around where on the cruise you just get a small taste but again it was fun and I am glad we went.
