BDA:cool: is head to Galveston, TX

Hey BDA you be careful down there in Armadillo and Lone Stare country!!

I grew up between Galveston and Corpus Christi in a small farm/ranching community.

Hope you and GH can hunt together Friend,

CJ

We just had a really low tide that exposed the first gut, should be another front with north wind this week to push the tide out a bit extra, hope you catch it. I have hunted both the seawall and east beach this past season and can't say one area was better than the other. The construction at the Flagship hotel has put alot of iron flakes and small iron pieces on the beach there. When the parks dept cleans the beach here they use a front end loader and scrape off a couple inches of sand along with the seaweed.. The resulting pile of sand are worth checking for recent drops. Good luck

When Scott finds out you are in the area BDA,
I'm sure he will get in touch with you. GL
Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

I doubt it. Maybe you can find something, I can't seem to. I have to FORCE myself to even get out there. You could have selected MUCH better spots to hunt than here, LOL! Good luck mate.

If Galveston beaches are like Surfside then they will really suck. Surfside beach was replenished with tons of sand this past summer that you can dig down 2 feet and still not hit the black clay, hopefully this winter we will have lots of wind that will get this sand out of here......HH John

I'm camped at Sea Rim State Park tonight, then headed for Galveston tomorrow and Port Lavaca after that. Considering the hurricane damage that was done to Sea Rim S.P., it's little wonder we are the only people here, lots of birds but people nada.
Even if we can't get together for a hunt I'd be happy to buy you dinner, send me a PM if you're available to get together with me and my wife for dinner, maybe a good BBQ place seeing as it's Texas and all.

Cheers Mare,

Eric

Hey BDA. Nice to see you back. Haven't heard from you in quite awhile. Last I heard you moved from the warm island back to the midwest and hadn't heard anything since. Good luck in your hunting.

I've been everywhere man, my wife and I have been on a round the world trip since last November, we've travelled almost 50,000 miles so far.

Scott, Buddy boy, good to hear from you again I thought drooped out of this site for good. Its nice to know your well, how have your hunts been?
