Hi All,
I'm posting this for a friend, as i know nothing about bayonets. The markings i can see are...EH&C on blade, LR on clip next to button, AL on handle end, 101 in reciever. Any info i can get on this is greatly appreciated.
HH to all...TennEarl....

Looks pretty similar to some of the French bayonets of the mid 1800's. Here's a link that might help.
Best of luck,
Buckram

They predate the American Civil War and were made by several foreign and American mfrs. The stampings will tell where it was made as well as the Inspectors initials. Good luck with your research.
