Hello, here's two Carbine Sling tips usually called Batwings. The one with beveled edges is Union. The one that is plain is Confederate.I have seen only one other of the Confederate type.Found these in the same field about 30yds.apart.Thanks,Barry.

Dude, where do you hunt... no the particulars of course, but what region... like N. Alabama., TN., NW GA., Virginia, or what... you are making some mighty fine finds. It is inspiring!!

If you don't want to say I understand but I am enjoying your pictures you have some good sites. I am lucky to find a few minnies anymore. I had one great site but I pretty much depleted it. I live in NW GA and there are a LOT of serious hunters around here who have been hunting a lot longer than me but I get my share. There is a good site down the road from me owned by an ass, it is some serious acerage and Hardee's whole corp sat on it for about a day. I've had his nephew trying to get me in there and eventually I will get permission. I have two other good sites that I plan on hunting this spring. One is a home that was standing during the war, they had three sons in the Confederate calvary and i've gotten permission to hunt it and I need to do it before the sod starts to grow again.. The other is, on a hill out in the country where there was a large confederate camp. The guys who had permission abused the priviledge and got booted but not before finding a CS plate with the stars circling it. I have gotten permission from the owner and am going to hit it some as soon as I get a chance between the rain and cold. It is about 30 acres. I also lucked into an old timer telling me where one of Hood's camps was as he came back through N. GA on the way to Alabama. I'm going to hit it on Monday if I am over this bronchitis... cough and low fever for two days... whiiiiine, laff. My hunting buddy found a fresh cleared place too. Trees just removed yesterday and it is in a GOOD place. I am going to try to hit it tomorrow... if I can drag my arse out of the house.

All of this because you have inspired me to get on to some of my better leads and stop hitting all my regular parks, lawns, and churchyards. I get in a rut of hitting the same old places and pulling those iffy signals that are still there... I have forgotten what it is like to hunt a good site that still has a lot of good targets.

I am wondering if the F75 LTD in AM will do the job that an LS or TDI will do after watching Daniel-TN's video about what we are missing when running in disc=6... I also use a Tejon, especially in iron and trash... but especially small iron. People don't know how good it is in small iron... it ignores it doesn't it?

Well happy hunting and thank you for the inspiration!!!!!!!

Hopefully I can soon post some nice finds too.

J
