Batwing Buckle, clipped and whole colonial coppers, musketballs, and more

Another great day of detecting. I ended up finding another bat wing buckle an early King George, a couple cut coins with at least one being a king George of some type , a musket ball and a couple buttons. I also made another new friend if you see him in the picture in the background.

I include that picture of the broken tree because as I was walking out it spontaneously fell right in front of me. There was a crack and then another crack and down it goes. There was no wind at all, only the sounds of bugs and birds out there, crazy I've never had that happen before.

I would have taken that tree as an omen ........... do not go beyond here.

Again, great picture and nice finds Gary.

thanks Larry! That happened on the way out, thankfully.
my father always told the story about how he was all alone fishing a lake way up in Canada during the early seventies, and out of the blue a tree fell off in the woods somewhere and he heard it..
I instantly thought of that story when it happened

Very Nice Gary, I'd love to go with you to one onF your sites some time. If you hadn't been there do you think the tree falling would have made a sound?

I thought you were perhaps channeling the tree spirits to fall on me while I was out there alone without you. It's a long walk though Todd. Anytime of course I'll send you the coordinates later

Oh thanks

Ha, I knew it Jim! Does your Indian voodoo work have any guarantees or warranties?

That is a huge Batwing, I really like it! Nice finds and a blessing the tree didn't get you. You just never know what is going to happen out in the woods. Be careful and keep posting!
