I got stronger deet this time, but I still got ticks.:ranting:

But non in the eye this time.............

It was so humid that it was like a steam bath. Arkie Land

gets that way down here.

Needless to say I didn't hunt long. I did manage to follow

a couple of old roads and see where they went. The roads

have been abandoned so long, there are 12" oak and other

hardwoods growing in them.

I found a thing that is similar to a stove burner. But it is not.
It may be part of a 19th century pressure gauge. I also found
two more of those brass nozzles with little holes. I found a
mule shoe, some square nails, an old ax head, couple of
bullets and shotgun shell casings and an automobile emblem.
There is a 32 cal pistol ball. Or it may be buck shot, maybe.
It's on the automobile emblem. There is also a broken off iron
pointer. Fairly large. Also a pipe doenut.

I left the rest of the finds to the ticks and ants.

Hiya,Tabdog. My name is Ken I live in the Tropics of Costa Rica,Where the local Miners/Hikers use Kerosene and Coconut Oil mixed, and rubbed on thier Rubber Boots/Pant legs for the little Chiggar Bastards.

Hey......I was born in ArkieLand, Springdale to be exact. I've heard stories of the Chiggers, Ticks big as toad frogs and 'skeeters big enough to carry off yer best huntin' dog. I'm sure glad my kin moved outta there while I was a youngin'. The only thing worth staying there is the fishin' and huntin' still 'sposed to be good. Although I'll admit I feel a bit more prestege admittin Im from Arkieland than haffin to admit I'm from California. Good luck, Ron.
