Battle of Gilgal Church testing 10x14 coil for GTI 2500.

Well finally got the new coil. It is quit nice I must say. I did some test in the yard yesterday and noticed it is less sensitive to smaller items like a pellet and not as loud on a .22 bullet. But seems when it was in action in the field it was more sensitive to .22 bullets than in just testing. But still not as loud beeps as my 9.5.

So today I took it too the Battle of Gilgal Church (200 yards from my house). And man could I cover some ground with this coil! This coil is so stable that I could run my sensitivity on 12 (max) the WHOLE hunt in All Metal. Which was about an hour and a half.

And the threshhold was just puring along with almost no fluctuations. So this would definatly be a plus at G N R S if you can run full sensitivity at max and get more out of the machine. The little .22 casing I got at 4 inches, tested it with sens. set to 9 and was not as readable, could actually walk over it, but not at 12.

However I had to lower it to 10 in disc mode form all the chatter, but didnt use disc mode only when hit a target.

Also tested my 1/4 oz Gold Nugget with this coil and got it at solid 8 inches with 9" clipping the threshold. All these test and hunts was auto tracked at 10 and 11 (almost max) So this coil is definatly improvement in relic and big Gold hunting. Not so much for items smaller than .22 bullet.

Ok my other problem is this coil didnt help my poor old disc mode here in Ga.
I can never get a quarter deeper than 6 inches in this soil, unless is in bark chips. I have a whole dug in my back yard at 7" exactly and none of my coils can get the quarter in Disc mode. Dont know what eles to do. Was hoping this coil would help in that area. Seems in air test i can get quarter at 9-10" almost same as All Metal. But when put on this soil I loose 40-45 % power in Disc mode. Only loose maybe 10-15% in All Metal.

Anyway, happy with this coil cause I can move some ground with it.
OK heres a pic of second bullet got near base of a tree. Dug at 8 inches including 2" of over burden. Will put second post below with another pic, cant seem to do multiple pics yet.
