Batterydoor XS2

Eric

New member
I have an older xs2. I always use it with the chargeble battery. The normal batteryholder doesn't really fit. If I put it in the door will shut but jump back a bit immediatly. It still works but it shouldn't be like this of course. Is it the door that is a bit worn out?

thanks, Eric.

From what I have read, the door has always been a problem.

yes the little bump latch gets worn down OR the housing of the detector where the bump slides under the housing gets worn down so a new door wouldnt help you.when mine did that years ago i put a little thin cardboard between the lid and batteries and that held it in place,or you can use just a small piece of duct tape.

I use a mini-bungie cord to keep mine shut. (Never have had the chargeable batteries.) I'll have to try that cardboard trick and see if it works well enough for me.
