Battery Storage For Winter

Which is the best way to store the NiMH battery pac, while not in use during the winter?
Such as, full charge or no charge.
Thanks in advance for the help.

It is always best to store batteries fully charged and in a cool place.
I usually place them in a ziploc bag in case they
should leak for any reason.
I also take them out about every other month and place them in the charger to keep them active.
I frequent the beaches in Delaware during the winter which also helps, both the batteries and me.
Hope this helps.
