Battery Question

Clifford Powell

New member
I have a bunch of 2650 NiMH rechargeable batteries that I use in my GPS and other battery powered devices. Can these be used in the EXP AA battery pack? I would like to use them as a backup for the rechargeable pack that came with the EXP.

Thanks in Advance -

Has any one had the occasion to use these batteries.

Panasonic Oxyride Extreme Power 4 Pack AA Batteries #ZR-6XA/4B-D ZR-6XA/4B-D
All new, higher powered, longer lasting batteries for the toughest tasks of all. Oxyride Extreme Power is the next generation of batteries, with two major breakthroughs in innovative new materials and advanced manufacturing technology. The battery uses newly developed oxyhydroxide, which releases a high voltage to the manganese dioxide typically used in alkaline batteries. Then a new vacuum pouring technology allows inserting a higher quantity of electrolyte in the battery. This added power gives you the best possible performance from your metal detector.

I have read where they are 1.7 volts and a lot cheaper than Everready Lithiums that are only 1.5 volts.
and almost tripple the price depending on where you get them.

Here is a link to their web site:

You can find more details here, also purchase them directly $4.99 plus S&H. They also have a list of stores that carry them but none of them are in my areas.

Some on-line metal detector dealers carry them.

I used one set. 2 to 3 times the life of high end alkaline batteries in my Explorer II. But have back to high mah (2000 - 3000) AA rechargable batteries in my alkaline pack.
