Battery Question For All.

I ordered 4 of these: batteries

I ordered 1 of these: Smart Charger

I ordered 1 of these: Battery Holder

The total cost was just over the required $75 to get the free shipping.

I did some reading about rechargeable 9 volt batteries, smart chargers and using rechargeable batteries with metal detectors.

I'm on top things when it comes to AAA and AA batteries and smart chargers, but 9 volt rechargeable batteries are new to me.

When I get them and test them I'll post the results for everyone to read.
 
I been using these and not had any problems with them in my F5 or the Gold Bug, I paid $10.00 for the pair with free shipping last year.
 
What kind of battery life are you getting with the BTY batteries and what kind of charger are you using?

10 - 14 hours before a recharge.

Charger is a LENMAR (PRO9V2).

Charge time in this is around 22 - 24 hours, after that time I take them out. If I don't use a battery thats been charged for 3 or 4 days I put it in the charger for 3 - 4 hours just to boost it.

I may have gone a tad overboard. I just didn't want to worry about charge times and over charging. Also, I like the fact that the batteries hold a charge for nearly a year, the charger charges in just two hours and it comes with a 12 volt adapter for charging on the go.

At any rate, it's nice to know that you can get more than a full day of metal detecting on one rechargeable battery. I was going through a lot of batteries and had do something.
