Battery problems

When I recently tried to charge my nicon I couldn't get the red light to come on. The charger green light was on but no red. I checked the voltage in the v3i and it read 8.03 volts. I check all connections, etc. and thought I had a battery issue or a failed charger. After a few hours I unplugged the charger and saw a button on the face of the plug. One push and it was reset and ready to charge. Everyone may already know of this reset button but I wanted to post a message just in case someone doesn't.

I don't see a reset button on my White's V3i NiMH battery charger. Is this something on the newer models?

I just checked my charger. There is no reset button on my charger. What is the model # of your charger?

if you are talking about the button on the side of the adapter with the prongs to plug into your ac, that button just releases the prong plate. The chargers now come with a universal adapter kit with different plug configurations, the prong plate part just goes on, turn a little to the right and the "button" pops up when the plate is locked into place. This is not a reset. What you experienced, I bet is what happens with my chargers of the same number you have, once I charge a battery, remove the battery and insert another one....the green light stays on, but the red (fast charge) will not come on. It will still charge the battery, but it is a slow overnight charge. However, if you unplug the adapter, remove the battery and then plug it back in and insert the battery...then the red, fast charge light comes on,

That may be what happened. Funny thing when I pushed the button I thought it clicked. I replugged and inserted the battery and the red light came on.Now I know how to get it back in fast charge.
