battery pack for xcal and sea hunter??

tomcatpl

New member
the xcal can run on 8 AA batteries i wonder will the sea hunter work with the after market battery pads for xcal ...the 1 from onlybatterypads.com

The battery holders for the AA s ( just the part that holds the 8 batteries ) is the same ) . I am at a loss as
to what you are trying to do between the two machines as the Excal. has a water proof pod that its batteries
go in and the SHmk2s is built in. ?????????????????? Why would you want to ??????????

it will still be water proof the xcal after maret battery((just the inside part of it ,,,the cells)) will fit in the mark3 it will hold charge for much longer.....i'm just woried about the voltage i know the xcal nic-mah battery full charge its about 14 V ,,question is would the marks to withstand the voltage???

You should be ok as the seahunter mk2 is made for 8 x 1.5 alkalines or the like which is 12v same as the excalibur, if the inards of a cell will fit(they are soldered in a block) give it a try, the manual also says you can use rechargables so why not get some good AA rechargables instead, works out a lot cheaper than a excal pack and with the mah available nowadays would last even longer than the excalibur pack that is 1400mah, AA's are available at twice that and more, personally i would go for the AA's at something like 2800-3000mah

but the recharables are 1.2v the xcal pack is like 35$ and they are 1600 mah and i already have a charger for it . the pack will pit i looked it up on ebay and it's the same size at the original i will try it and let u know

they are more than 1.2v when fully charged
