Battery low warning

Rudiger

New member
Just a quick question:
I'd like to know how long from when the warning tone comes on to when the detector turns off, on an SE.
The first time or two it happened it was only a few minutes, the last time the detector was still going 50 minutes later when I gave up so I never found out just how long. The warning tune had been on the whole 50 minutes. That last tine I was using the backlight the whole time. I wasn't using the backlight the first time, I can't remember the second time, so I wonder if that was the difference.
Thanks.

The backlight can be a significant drain on the batteries. However, I usually don't use it, and I've had around 10 minutes on average from the initial warning to shutdown. (I usually run the SE pretty hot...Sens. 23 or higher.)

Thanks Swingman. How about the other 80+ who have read my question - how long do you normally get?. Does the time vary much? If so do you know what influences it?
