Battery life...

Does anybody know if there is an actual relationship between coil size and battery life ?
Also is there a relationship between sensitivity or gain with coil size....like if I run at 50% a 5 inch coil will only get 2" of deph or such ????

No real big differance, runs the same with any coil

I imagine there would be more impact on power consumption by cranking up the gain. But I can't imagine how it would ever be significant. I use nimh batteries, have a couple of spares and just recharge as needed.

remember this, it takes more battery to run a lower frequency than a high one.

So you are saying my Gold Bug will get better battery life than my Omega?

I am not sure if that would be true. Why does a lower frequency machine use more battery power?
