Hello All,
Just a quick question about battery life with the 6A. I'm using rechargeable 9V batteries and they seem to go for only about 6 hours? Does that seem about right? I used to hunt with the Sand Shark and the battery life was much longer so I have to be careful when I'm out there with the 6A. Last weekend I ran out of juice on the beach and didn't have any backup batteries. When the rechargeables run out, they run out, no ifs, ands, or buts, about it.
Got out on the beach today for a couple hours. The crowds have been fairly decent for this time of year. Last year June was dead on the beaches here is S. Ca. I pulled a pretty decent 14K mans ring out of the wet today along with a couple other junk pieces of jewelry. There weren't many targets in the wet today but I kept at it hoping to find a recent drop. I believe there are two life spans to a lost ring in the ocean. A short term and a long term. The short term migration is immediatly towards the surfline if there is any wave action at all. After the short term life span which I believe lasts for about two days, rings sink out of detector range and only show up after some huge waves or beach erosion occurs. That just my take.
