I am in need of battery holder 8 AA with nicad to battery adapter for a minelab sovereign XS-2a pro,
My e-mail is 1026mb1218@gmail.com, Mike B.

If I recall correctly you need two 4-cell battery holders and a special Minelab circuit board (for the XS-2A) to connect the battery holders to.

Or you can try to rewire the detector to accept the two 4-cell battery holders using 9v battery connector cables?

Mike, welcome to the forum, do you have the rechargeable pack with this Sovereign? If you don't there is a very inexpensive and easy fix.Remove the pressure clip on your box and install the old plug in connector setup for the older Sovereigns. For most this will take about 15 minutes and about $8.00 in parts. The N size male plug for the control box is sold at most Radio Shacks and you will need the N female plug that will fit on your pigtail for the two alkaline packs.Rechargeable packs are easier to find with this setup and a much better battery connection. The N size male plug is the same size on the stock charger for the old Sovereigns and Excals.Good Luck Ron
