Battery holder problem

The penlight battery holder has broke on me. The metal contact snapped when I tried to place the battery in the holder. It was extremely tight. I ordered another and the same thing might happen. The same slot on the side is tight! I can hardly get the battery in. Does anyone else have this problem? I know how to replace batteries. But this is ridiculously tight.

Very tight indeed, Found if I place both batteries in slot leaving the centers up then using thumb - push down the center of both batteries this seems to help. Maybe you already do it that way?

I found the same on mine. Just the one side seems very tight and when you force it in, the preasure must be very high. Must be a design flaw.

Same here-I have found it helps some if you turn the holder so that you always insert the batteries with the plus (+) facing up-then put the first battery in at the bottom--before I started doing that sometimes the battery would fly out of the holder---I am glad they do fit that tight, makes a better connection--Another thing clean the connection by using a pencil eraser--This works for most all battery conections
