Battery contacts

I am curious if anyone else had a problem with their Quick Draw 2, the 9 volts battery contacts were intermittent. I replaced them with the package from Radio Shack. This cured the problem of resetting itself while out in the field. The detector still works great and does not reset itself. Just Curious Eagle man

Hello Eagleman,

I purchaced a Quick Draw II , last month an have had good luck with it, have not had an trouble with the battery contacts
but not to sure i trust the depth readings below 4 in., other than tha t i like it

Read your question and got to thinking. You put grease on a car battery post to keep it from corrosion and make better connection. Would that help on the batteries on a metal detector? I don't know, I'm not a tech wiz.

Own a quick draw ll also, one time I put some cheap batteries from a dollar store and my detector would not work at all. Got to make sure you use some good alkaline batteries.
HAPPY HUNTING

I will not buy batteries from a dollar store those things have sat forever in some warehouse and are DEAD most of the time...
