Battery connection,Excal

Just got my Ecal and connecting the cable to the battery there is a small philips screw. The directions refer to it more as a guide screw. I tried to snug it down but it doesn't seem to. Is it only a guide and isn't suppose to snug down?

Thats what it is a guide so i don't think it needs any attention, what you might consider is going to an auto parts store and picking up a small tube of Dielectric grease so you can keep this plug, male and female side lubed slightly to help keep corrosion at bay, doesn't take a lot, just a lite swabbing.......... Be careful when messing with the guide screw. On the oposite side of the guide screw there is another screw. Together they tighten down on a rubber o-ring.
The two screws should be tightened down evenly on the o-ring. Only slightly snug because you don't want to flatten the o-ring too much. When tightening, the nuts should be held in place by the connector. The guide also serves as a key, to keep the polarity of the battery from being reversed, so try not to remove the guide screw.
