Battery charging contacts?

I am wondering if I have a reason for concern for the charging contacts on the back of the control housing if using near a salt water beach. I am going to the beach and its the only thing that worries me. I know salt water mist can cause corrosion.

no reason to worry.

Just wash it down and sun dry. Clean the contacts if needed, i fresh water beach hunt and rarely get deep enough to dunk the control box. If i needed to would toothbrush and Q-tip them but just using a soft cloth is working for me.

Ive got nearly 600 hours of salt water hunting on mine.....and im talking in the water. I rinse mine after each hunt and ive not had an issue or even discoloration.

ANYTHING near saltwater that is not 316 grade stainless is a concern.
