Battery charger

Yesterday I went to charge my battery for my E-trac and noticed the light did not come on. I unplugged it and saw the wire had broke close to where it comes out of the charger. There was not much room left for a repair but I got it fixed. Is the charger covered under warrenty? Has anyone else had this problem?
 
I dont know but I would definitely send a friendly email off to minelab. Just explain what happened, they might just send you another one. Ive never heard of that happening to a charger.
