battery box and volume issues

K.J.

New member
I am everyday more and more satisfied with my new T2. It will certainly take longer time to know it deeply, though.
I am particularly pleased with the balanced shape, battery consumption close to zero and quick response to small targets.
My dislikes are : the tiny and too exposed trigger for ground/pin point, the battery box which can be easily exposed to mud and water when you put your T2 down on the ground and another small annoying issue which happens to me quite often: i don't know exactly how, but after a while i'm swinging (or maybe when i put it on the ground) the volume goes up. I guess the panpot of the volume hits my body or the ground? Just small issues anyway

The battery box is crap, the battery conectors are crap, the whole issue needs modifying:rant::super: ,for a detector that is exellent .

what you need is a clip on stand ,like the one i have for mine as in the picture .it solves a few problems (1) it lifts the battery box off the ground (2) it stops the screen from tipping into the mud(3) it keeps the volume control from being touched by your clothing while searching .the one you need is the wider version for the T2 and ex-terra available from bill quinn at ; plugger@dslextreme.com ; also the teknetics covers for the screen and battery box are available from jeff@middlesex on this forum .
personally i have never yet had a problem with the actual fitting or removal of the batteries and they work perfectly make sure you dont pull off or remove the removal tags in the battery box or you WILL damage the springs by having to lever out the batteries
