Batteries?????

Hey all, Tried to use the alkaline battery pack for the first time today and bought some Energizer max batteries and when I turn the machine on it says battery flat plays a little tune then powers down?????? Works fine with the rechargable 1800 battery pack but why not with the alks??? Anyone else experience this???

Do you have a meter to check the batteries with? If the MD works with some batteries, and not others, I wouls suspect the batteries are bad.

I checked the alk pack and got 11.20 v ??????

Vvoltage means you got the right amount of cells. The real issue is can they deliver the current needed?

I also use the Energizer rechargeables (Silver and green) and they work fine.

My machine runs better and longer on Duracells. 20 at Home Depot for 9.95. Actually seems to run best when 1 bar is left. HH

Been running Eveready energizers since new. Never had a problem.10 + hours 20 for $10.00 at Home Depot.Still waiting for my wall charger....from Minelab.
