How do the barreries hold up for the E-trac? I just recieved my new one today and was curious if I sould get another rechargable battery. How bout the 1800 Nimh, is it worth the extra money? I had two rechargable pack for my DFX and only if I was out all day would one not be enough.

Batteries for the E-trac.

The rechargeable that comes with it seems to last on average 10-12 hours.Make sure you run it completly down and get a couple good,full charges on it. It takes a couple charges to get it up to maximum strength. I would say try it out before you spend the extra money on the other one. I always have an extra 8 AA batteries in my bag at all times just in case. Good luck with the e-trac, you are going to love it once you learn it.

I have 2 rechargables and wouldn't do it any other way. I put one in the detector and one is charged. Whenever the detector goes dead, just swap and charge the other. You chould be able to get several short hunts or one full day hunt off a battery.

Buy rechargeable batteries for the regular battery holder and your good to go and less expensive. I got some Pannasonic 2300's so they last even longer than the stock 1800 pack does and they came with a fast charger too.
