Hea guys since just about every 9-volt, AAA, AA batteries are made in china, tired of finding weak batteries :puke:Are any made in the USA?Even Duracell are made in china,so what option do me have?Anyone have any favorite brand?cjm

Well for batteries, I go for made in Japan. Panasonic makes the best cells. It's why Elon musk partnered with them for the new liIon cell he invented and they built the gigafactory.
But I digress. I use Duracell alkalines for my tesoros and Panasonic eneloops for ally AA and AAA needs.

Personally I'll use any 9v of the proper size that lasts.
All I've found that are proper size are the panasonics that Tesoro gives and the Duracell and Duracell pro. All three are the smaller normal size. All others seem to be bigger.

Ditto Here too... Duracell, and Eneloops.....

I tried some rechargeable 9volts but they seemed weird.
Back to the regular Ace brand alkaline now.
Same size as duracells and the Panasonic.
Seem to last as long.

Not American but Panasonic alkaline PLUS from the dollar stores at 2-4 a pak work just as good as anything else I've found in over 55 years of detecting. FANTASTIC in my cameras also ,even for video-John

I saw the Panasonic AA and AAA at the dollar store (not the heavy duty carbon zinc ones) and the design seems to be the same as the 9v Tesoro sends with their units. With they had the 9v there.

Dollar General Eveready gold alkalines last longer than Duracell and are really cheap. Check them out. Work great.

Price?
Found a supplier from someone else's post that Duracell are like 1.23 each.
Also, how about the size?
I found many good 9v that last but they are taller.
Using them in my outlaw permanently bent in the prongs and if I use a Duracell I have to put folded paper in with it or it's too loose to make a connection.

Really the cost I found for the Duracell's and the procells plus the size being the same as the panasonics tesoro sends is why I use them.

Lowe's utilitech, Sunbeam for cost, royovac, etc all do really well but they are taller.

9v are not regulated on size like the rest of the batteries.

Have to measure from bottom of cell to top of the connectors. You'll be surprised how big some of them are.

Some are not just longer (taller) than others, but also the thickness (not the width) is too big and that causes a too-tight battery door fit, or possibly not fitting at all.

Haven't run into that Monte, but as far as height it has cause battery door issues with too much spring on the contacts in the machine and wants to push out, but again that's from height.
Bent my outlaw contacts.
Never again lol.
If they aren't the same height as Duracell/Panasonic not using them lol

I have forgotten the price because I have been using rechargeables for several months. But I remember, the Eveready Gold alkalines are terrific and extremely cheap, I bought quite a few of them. You should drop in to a Dollar General and see.

I read test results that showed the Eveready Gold 9 volts beat Duracells for maintaining high current over time.

Now I am using EBL NiMH rechargeables from off Ebay. They were pretty cheap and have been very solid and I like them, use time seems at most 2/3 of the alkalines but that is good enough. But, they are a hair too long and sort of a pain to get out of my Vaquero.

By the way, I read reviews on those Lowes Utilitech batteries leaking, so I am passing on those. Yes they are cheap but I like my Tesoros too much to monkey with poor quality batteries. The Sunbeams are cheap but the Eveready Golds are about the same and last longer in my experience.

I have the EBL as well but they are tall. I use them on my outlaw because I've already bent the terminals. But I'm a bit worried about using them full time. They are quite a bit taller than Duracell's.
I use them in my pinpointer and fire alarms because there's nothing to ruin.
But from now on no big batteries.

Same ones. 600 mAh liIon
