Batterie ?

Lithium batts are NOT recommended. They tend to run over voltage and can damage the unit.

Refer to page 45 of the users manual.
"Rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries will give a combined voltage above 8 V and therefore cannot be used with the X-Terra 705."


That said, there is nothing wrong with using Ni-Cad or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.
 
Yes, I believe you can use non-rechargeable lithium batteries.
as per page 45 of your 705 manual.

I use both lithium energizers ( non-rechargeable ) you mention all the time in my 705 with no problems. I have been using them for 6 months now but
I don't believe either the batteries the poster mentions are a ion lithium type battery.
